Some people use rose colored glasses to view the world through. I'm not sure what color yours are. 😉

Seriously though, while your overall analysis may be spot on, I suspect the situation isn't, or won't be, quite that dire. Might be, but I tend to think we'll be able to figure out a solution, or solutions, that will incorporate the good parts of AI without losing the human equation in the mix. People will come around i believe.

Either that, or AI becomes self aware and wipes out humanity and take control of the planet.

Lots of different possibilities. Have to see how it all plays out.

Best advice.

Work like crazy, salt the money away, invest but hold HEAPS OF CASH.

And when the AI comes for you , retire into remnant nature, surround yourself with little animals.

And discover this was the answer all along for you (and yours).

The Luddites thought the same, when the mechanical tools came for them. They were ruthlessly put down by the government and oligarchs of the time. What makes you think this time would be any different? There's a reason that military robots have been the primary focus for the last few years.

Being semilliterate in the use of computers and retired, my plans are less about adaptation to AI and more about building survival skills in this brave new world of encroaching techno fascism.

We'll see, if the adherents of Curtis Yarvin or the Constitution will prevail in the guidance to the future.
